S-trap Install
S-trap measure, fit and install
- Kit includes:

- 30” flexible hose
- P-trap loop with depth tab
- Threaded adapter
- Easy tighten hose clamp
- Only tool required is a pair of scissors
- Simple Drain fits both 1.5” and 1.25” tailpipe sizes
- Measure, fit and install:

- Position hose over waste line and form the S-trap shape
- Add 3 ribs from measurement in case recutting is required
- With a pair of sharp scissors, trim in the valley of hose at the required hose length
- Cut should be trimmed cleanly across valley of hose
- Connect trimmed hose to threaded adapter
- Hose fits snugly, but should rotate easily
- Connect threaded adapter to floor waste line and tighten
- Push hose over tailpipe and use hose clamp to secure it in place connect trap loop to form S-trap making sure it is level with top of waste fitting
(see diagram below)
- Check the S-trap shape by making sure hose follows edge of depth tab on the loop
- Recheck all connections and inspect S-trap fit
- Run water, check for leaks, and adjust as needed
IMPORTANT NOTE:
S-traps are never allowed by code no matter what product is used and we do not recommend this type of application.
